As a member of the British Judo Council, Alexandra Park Judo Club upholds the principle that all children whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, racial origin, religious belief and/or sexual identity have the right to protection from abuse.

The coaches and volunteers of the club are committed to the welfare and protection of children and young people so that they can enjoy judo activities in safety without fear, threat or abuse.

Alexandra Park Judo Club adhere to the British Judo Council Child Protection Policy.

Club Welfare Officer

John is club’s Welfare Officer and his role includes:

  • Be the first point of contact for volunteers, parents and children, where concerns about a child’s welfare, poor practice or child abuse arise.
  • Assist the club to fulfil its responsibilities to safeguard children and young people.
  • Assist the club to implement its child protection policy.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to the club’s child protection training plan.
